Alliance for Learning Innovation (ALI)

What is ALI?

The Alliance for Learning Innovation (ALI) is a bipartisan coalition building a more innovative and evidence-based education system. ALI brings together school leaders, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to build a robust education R&D ecosystem that helps schools implement proven solutions and prepare students for future success.

Strategic education research and development helps:

  • Drive Innovation: By studying what works in teaching and learning, we can discover and scale effective solutions that prepare students for an increasingly competitive global economy.
  • Empower Local Decision-Making: Schools and teachers know their students best. R&D provides local leaders with evidence-based tools and strategies to make informed choices for their communities.
  • Ensure Accountability: Independent research helps examine which educational investments have the greatest impact, informing smart decisions about resources and providing transparency for families and taxpayers.
  • Maintain Competitiveness: As technology and workforce needs rapidly evolve, Ed R&D helps ensure American students develop the skills needed for high-tech careers and continued U.S. leadership in innovation.
  • Support Teachers: Research and development creates tools and approaches that help teachers maximize their impact and focus on what they do best—inspiring and educating students.
Currently, the federal government invests significantly less in education R&D compared to other sectors like defense, health, and agriculture. By strengthening our commitment to education R&D, we can build an education system that works better for students, teachers, and communities while securing America’s competitive edge.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
